The first trailer for Verity, the latest movie adaptation of a Colleen Hoover novel, has been released. The marketing team certainly has an idea of the film’s main selling point, as the trailer features an intense scene of co-stars Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson kissing.
Amazon MGM Studios dropped the firs teaser trailer for Verity, the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling psychological thriller, starring Anne Hathaway as Verity Crawford — a successful author left incapacitated after a mysterious accident — and Dakota Johnson as Lowen Ashleigh, the struggling ghostwriter hired to complete Verity’s book series while living in the Crawford family home. Josh Hartnett also stars in the film plays Jeremy Crawford, Verity’s husband, who begins a relationship with Johnson’s character.
Verity will be the fourth Colleen Hoover adaptation to hit theaters, following It Ends With Us (the instantly infamous Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni movie), Regretting You, and Reminders of Him. Verity is one of FIVE films that Hathaway is starring in this year alongside Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey, and The End of Oak Street.

“The psychological thriller tells the story of a struggling writer hired to complete an injured bestselling author’s book series. While living at the author’s home, she discovers a horrifying manuscript—and must decide whether to expose the truth.”
“Adapted from Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, this seductive, psychological thriller follows renowned author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway) and Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson), a struggling writer who relocates to the remote Crawford estate to ghostwrite for Verity. After Lowen uncovers what appears to be Verity’s chilling autobiographical notes, she wrestles with the disturbing and twisted confessions about Verity’s husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett), and finds it hard to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession.”
