We now have video of the Kelly Clarkson incident at a Brooklyn toy shop.
Over the weekend, Clarkson went to a small Brooklyn toy shop called Art Of Play with her children. At the shop, Clarkson asked about buying a $15k mechanical bird on display, but it apparently wasn’t for sale.
After her visit, Clarkson took to social media and blasted Art Of Play for discriminating against her.
Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out 👎

The shop explained that the mechanical bird inside the store was not for sale, but that they would put her in contact with the toy’s maker. The store also explained that they gave her an option to purchase another mechanical bird for $2,000 that was available inside the store.
Another update from Art of Play, the Brooklyn store Kelly Clarkson criticized on Saturday in a viral tweet.

Clarkson insisted that the store had mistreated her.

On Tuesday, Pablo Torre released surveillance footage of the incident. The footage, which has no audio, shows Clarkson entering and leaving the store within five minutes and having a brief back-and-forth with a few store employees. After Clarkson left, the employees went about their business as if nothing happened.
Here’s Torre trying to decipher what is on the video.

The store owner claims that he has been receiving death threats following Clarkson’s social media outburst and is condemning the pop star for bullying them.
Hi @kellyclarkson I talked to Art Of Play co-owner Adam Rubin who wants to send you this message in part “We hold no ill will against Kelly Clarkson, we invite her to come back and enjoy the store. But, we find her gross abuse of power completely reprehensible, and she should face social consequences.” @1010WINS let us know if we can interview you to follow-up.
