VIDEO: Tom Cruise Injured While Attempting ‘Mission Impossible 6’ Stunt

Tom Cruise was injured during the filming of “Mission Impossible 6” when a building-jumping stunt went wrong. The 55-year-old Hollywood star was in London on the set of the movie when he attempted to jump from one building rooftop to another. Crusie was rigged with wire to ensure he landed the jump, but smashed into the side of the building instead. Cruise attempted to walk it off, but was in obvious pain and fell to the ground. The guy who was supposed to pull Cruise up with the wire should probably start looking for a new gig after failing to get the actor with a net worth of $470 million across safely. Cruise, who is playing IMF agent Ethan Hunt, was assisted by crew members and walked off the set with help. The extent of Cruise’s injuries are not yet known and if it will affect the release of “Mission Impossible 6.”

Cruise is well-known for his desire to do his own stunts and not rely heavily on stunt doubles. This was on display in 2015 when Cruise clung to the side of a plane for “Mission Impossible 5” and staying in for 64 takes of a plane crash scene in zero gravity scene for “The Mummy” reboot.

“Mission: Impossible 6,” is scheduled to be released July 27, 2018.
