Earlier this fall, when Marvel Studios released the first trailer for their upcoming series Echo, they also announced the launch of their new banner “Marvel Spotlight.”

Echo will be the first MCU project to be a Marvel Spotlight title, which the studio says will feature “more grounded, character-driven stories that focus on street-level stakes over larger MCU continuity.”

Alongside Alaqua Cox in the titular role of Maya Lopez/Echo, the series also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, who first made his debut as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in the old Netflix Daredevil series and has since made the jump over to the MCU, debuting in the 2021 series Hawkeye.

With D’Onofrio set to feature in both Echo and Daredevil: Born Again — the MCU’s first Daredevil-focused project — our Post Credit Podcast asked the veteran actor whether or not Daredevil will also be part of Marvel’s new Spotlight brand.

“For sure,” D’Onofrio told BroBible’s Post Credit Podcast when asked if he thinks Daredevil: Born Again will be under the Marvel Spotlight banner.

“That’s my opinion, I imagine it would be. Nobody has said, ‘Hey, did you know this? This is happening’ — nobody said that. But it is of the same tone and feel [as Echo]. The attention that the big bosses are giving to it is extraordinary and Charlie [Cox] and I are just amazed at how much they care about this series. I can’t imagine it being treated any less.”

Echo will release all five of its episodes on Hulu and Disney+ on January 10. In addition to Cox and D’Onofrio, the series will also star Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Graham Greene, Cody Lightning, Charlie Cox, Devery Jacobs, and Zahn McClarnon

D’Onofrio will next be seen starring in the Netflix film Lift, which is directed by F. Gary Gray and also features Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno, and Sam Worthington.
