Jackass Star Wee Man, real name Jason Acuña, is taking issue with Hugh Grant playing an Oompa Loompa in the upcoming Willy Wonka prequel film that stars Timothee Chalamet.

In a clip that’s going viral on TikTok, the longtime stuntman calls out the British actor for taking on a part that was played by actual little people in the original 1971 Gene Wilder-starring film.

“Hugh Grant is now playing an Oompa-Loompa. So, I guess Hugh Grant you’re now identifying as a little person. Ohhh… interesting! Wowww!” Wee-Man says in the clip (which, to be fair, appears to be taken a bit out of context).

At this time, the famously terse 62-year-old English actor has yet to respond to Wee Man, and we doubt he will.

Wee Man was most recently seen starring in Jackass Forever, which was released to widespread critical acclaim (it has an 85% critics score and 91% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes), back in early 2022.

In addition to Chalamet as Willy Wonka and Grant as the main Oompa-Loompa, Wonka — directed by Paddington filmmaker Paul King — also stars Calah Lane, Keegan-Michael Key, Paterson, Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter, Tom Davis, and Olivia Colman.

The film — which saw its trailer debut earlier this summer to a lukewarm, if not perplexed reception — is currently scheduled to hit movie theaters in the United States on December 15, 2023. Given the ongoing actors’ strike, however, there is a chance that the release date could be delayed.

You can check out the official trailer for Wonka — which had some fans concerned about Chalamet’s portrayal — and the official synopsis for the film below.

Based on the extraordinary character at the center of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Roald Dahl’s most iconic children’s book and one of the best-selling children’s books of all time, Wonka tells the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today.
