Dallas Woman Goes To Whataburger. Then She Sees What They Gave Her. It’s Not Just Her

Treating yourself to a fun meal you have been craving after a difficult day should help alleviate some stress. However, the wrong order can easily become your last straw. This was the case for a Texas woman when she unwrapped her burger from Whataburger. What she received had her crashing out.

In the clip, Michele (@duchydoodle) is sitting in her car, presumably at night, with a burger on her lap. “OK, I just went to Whataburger literally for this burger,” she says. “I waited for seven to eight minutes. There was nobody in line.”

Michele notes the burger was not worth the wait. The burger appears underwhelming. The patty is thin, irregularly shaped, and small.

“What the f— is this? Are you f—— serious?” she asks angrily, slapping the meat back down on the wrapper. “Unf—— real.”

Disappointed, tagged the burger joint in the caption, writing, “Whata-way to end a s—– day. @Whataburger.”

Viewers sounded off with similar experiences in the comments section.

“They’ve become ridiculous. I went about 6 months ago- got some & there were 13 French fries & the meat patty looked EXACTLY like yours,” one viewer shared.

“That same thing happened to me and I called the manager,” a second recalled.

As a result, some have sworn off Whataburger altogether.

“I went one time in Peoria. Never again! terrible!” one commenter revealed.

“They used to be my favorite and I don’t even go there anymore they got so bad,” a second stated.

“Whataburger! Ugh! Ever since they were sold to a northern state they’ve gone SO UNBELIEVABLY down hill! I used to say I’m a Whataburger girl! No more!” a third remarked.

Why Do People Think Its Quality Is Declining?

Michele joins another TikToker whose order dangerously didn’t meet expectations. Recently, a woman bit into a raw chicken tender in a Whataburger meal that was intended for her toddler.

For nearly 70 years, Whataburger was family-owned until it was sold to Chicago-based investment firm BDT Capital Partners in 2019. Since the acquisition, there have been documented complaints from customers about a difference in the food quality—some going as far as to say it has declined, per the Texas Standard.

Recently, this discussion landed in the Whataburger subreddit. Redditors claimed “it’s not the same anymore” and that “the burgers are worse by a significant margin,” blaming “private equity ruining another good thing.”

However, others argued the food varies by location. One dubbed the “Whataburger in LaGrange “ in Houston as “fantastic” while another believed the ones in Austin and Dallas “suck.”

Nevertheless, the criticism hasn’t stopped the fast-food chain from expanding. Currently, the burger chain has locations in 17 states throughout the country with plans to open over 40 more in the Southeast, per My San Antonio.
