Wheel of Fortune has been airing on TV since 1975. There have been over 7,000 shows with who knows how many different puzzles to solve. So, of course, there have been numerous times where the contestants have struggled, regardless of how easy it looks to the rest of us.
For decades, all these failures were only mocked by viewers at home or at work. Now though, with social media, Wheel of Fortune fails have become its own special brand of entertainment.
This might be the dumbest #WheelOfFortune solve ever. Straight fail.

During Tuesday’s episode of Wheel of Fortune, the internet went wild over another epic fail when all three contestants spent over two minutes trying to solve the puzzle “ANOTHER FEATHER IN YOUR CAP.”
After revealing “ANOTHER FEATHER _N YO_R _A_,” they tried “ANOTHER FEATHER IN YOUR HAT,” they tried guessing the letter G (what word was he thinking of?), they went bankrupt, then they went with “ANOTHER FEATHER IN YOUR LAP,” then they guessed the letter D (same guy), and on and on it went.
It was truly frustrating to watch and the internet let the contestants know it.
This is tough to watch

One of the Wheel of Fortune contestants isn’t happy with all the trolling he’s been getting
Well, one of those Wheel of Fortune contestants, the guy who guessed the letters G and D, Christopher Coleman, spoke out about his viral moment and he wasn’t too happy about it.
“This idiom is something I learned when I was six or seven years old,” Coleman told TMZ. “But I haven’t heard it in over 30 years and so it has been a while for me.
“You are also under a lot of scrutiny and pressure when you’re in production. A lot of people are sitting at home on the comfort of their own couch, yelling and screaming at the TV, when we are the ones in the moment and in real time, trying to guess and figure out what this puzzle is.”
“You go up there. Half of you don’t even have public speaking skills,” Coleman added. “You go on Wheel of Fortune and go into the shoes of where we were standing. And then it will be a whole another conversation when they are trending and making donkeys of themselves.
“Just go easy on me and the other contestants because we are very educated people and we don’t want to be put in a situation where we are being cackled and publicly humiliated on a show that was a lifelong dream,” adding that everyone “should have more empathy and a little more grace and understanding.”
Wheel of Fortune’s longtime host Pat Sajak agrees.
