Due to her relationship and engagement with internet celebrity and former YouTube star Logan Paul, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and Victoria’s Secret model Nina Agdal has been on the receiving end of collateral damage stemming from Paul’s beef with MMA fighter Dillon Danis.
In an effort to hype up their upcoming October bout, Dillon Danis has been engaging in a seemingly ceaseless campaign of online abuse against Nina Agdal as a way to get in Paul’s head, particularly making an effort to highlight her past and high-profile relationships.
Whether it be due to Danis’ misogynistic abuse or just sheer coincidence, Agdal hasn’t shared any grid content on her Instagram account since August 1. Most recently, Danis threatened to share photos of Agdal that he believes would end the couple’s engagement.
“At this point, I might just need to release these images on a human level to save Logan from her. If you guys only know how nasty this chick really is, it’s actually insane. But if I do, the fight will be called off and I’ll be sued. Hard choice,” Danis tweeted earlier this week.
One of those previous relationships, of course, was with Academy Award-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio, whom she dated from 2016 to 2017.
According to sources who spoke to People Magazine at the time, DiCaprio and Agdal split up because “he’s not ready to settle down and just isn’t in the mindset to get married or have kids,” implying that perhaps Agdal’s desire for those things put him off.
The source did say, however, that some of DiCaprio’s friends thought his relationship with Agdal might be “different this time” because he apparently thought “Nina was a super cool girl” and “because he was way more affectionate and public with her than he normally is.”
Ultimately, though, Agdal and DiCaprio would split, with Leo going on to date actress and model Camila Morrone, and a bevy of others, for the next few years.
As for Agdal, she went on to date Jack Brinkley-Cook, the son of former supermodel Christie Brinkley, from 2017 to 2021. A year later, in 2022, she began dating Paul — who is now a WWE wrestler — with the pair getting engaged earlier this year.
