Based on my scientific research, i.e. how many times it has happened to me, your chances of actually receiving an ice cream cone or a McFlurry at a McDonald’s when you order one is fifty-fifty at best.
The issue of McDonald’s ice cream machines constantly not working has been an ongoing issue for years now, so much so that someone even developed an app to help us avoid the soul-crushing disappointment that comes when you’re told, “Sorry, the ice cream machine is broken.”

It’s become such a running joke that even Wendy’s has made fun of Mickey D’s about it.
So when a female McDonald’s customer loses her mind in spectacular fashion because she was reportedly told the McFlurry machine is not working, I get it.
Well… I sort of get it.
I mean, I wouldn’t go completely off the rails like she did, picking up a big metal cup dispenser and hurling it at the McDonald’s staff (she must be a lefty), but yeah, I know that place where all her anger is coming from. McFlurry’s are delicious!
Unfortunately for her, thanks to this impressive outburst, if she’s ever identified there’s a pretty good chance she’ll be spending a few hours in McJail – no sprinkles.

McDonald’s really needs to do something about their ice cream machines.
