The Showtime series Yellowjackets was one of the surprise hits on television when it premiered back in late 2021, ultimately becoming the second-most streamed series in the history of the network.
Now, with the premiere of the highly-anticipated second season just weeks away, Showtime has released an intense new trailer for the latest batch of episodes.
Following its first season, Yellowjackets was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series at the Emmy Awards. Melanie Lynskey was also nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, while Christina Ricci scored a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

The Yellowjackets barely made it through summer, but now as winter begins to bite, we’ll see if hunger and desperation turn into full-on psychosis. Meanwhile, 25 years later, each survivor must determine if the darkness is coming for them or from them.
Yellowjackets features a massive ensemble cast — as the story is split up between two separate timelines, one in the present days and one in the 1990s when their plane crashed in the Canadian wilderness — that features Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Lauren Ambrose, Simone Kessell, Ella Purnell, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, and Kevin Alves.
Despite the fact that season two of Yellowjackets has yet to premiere, the series has already been renewed for a third season.
