Country music star Zach Bryan has released a new song that includes lyrics that are critical of United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The song is titled “Bad News.”

Zach Bryan — who also served in the United States Navy from 2013 to 2021 — has become one of the biggest country music artists in the world in recent years, having sold over 30 million albums and singles worldwide.

In his latest single “Bad News,” Bryan makes explicit reference to ICE and the tactics they’ve been using to round up immigrants.

Zach Bryan’s new song “Bad News” contains lyrics that are critical of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)

“And ICE is gonna come, bust down your door—The fading of the red, white, and blue,” Bryan sings in his new song “Bad News.”

Naturally, some fans of Bryan are initially pretending as though they’ll now swear his music off, with the top reply to the above tweet saying that “Zach Bryan just Bud Lite’d himself.”

The other side of the argument, however, praises Bryan for doing what country greats like Johnny Cash and Woody Guthrie did with the politics of their music.

Bryan most recently released an album in 2024, The Great American Bar Scene, and went on The Quittin’ Time Tour that same year.
