Zach Top is, by all accounts, one of the nicest dudes in country music. He always seems to have a smile on his face and leads with gratitude for the opportunities presented to him thus far in his young career.

The 27-year-old put his true character on display at a recent recent meet-and-greet to confirm what we already knew!

Top, who cut his teeth in bluegrass, transitioned into the more traditional “country music” space with his aptly-titled debut album ‘Cold Beer & Country Music,’ which dropped last April. His meteoric rise to the top of the charts has made him one of the most popular artists in the United States. He has more than seven million monthly listeners on Spotify.

I have been watching Top’s career from a distance for a little while now, even before his album, and I have always admired his sunny disposition. There are a lot of musicians — in any genre — who are divas. Not everybody is nice. Meet and greets often prove to be a letdown because a fan’s favorite artist does not care to be there or acts as though it is a burden.

That is not the case with Zach Top!

Savannah Swatland is an aspiring country singer and songwriter with more than 25,000 followers on TikTok. Maybe I am wrong, but it appears as though she got to meet Top prior to his show while backstage at the West Herr Auditorium Theatre in Rochester, New York. She asked him to sing with her.

If we’re being real, that is kind of considered a cardinal sin in that kind of setting and some artists would be very annoyed by the request. Not Zach Top!

Although Top looked a little bit flustered at first, he very quickly warmed up to the idea with a grin and a giggle. The duet sounded great. Swatland was just as giddy as the man himself!

I love this kind of video. It is not often that we get to see the true personality of the people we listen to on the radio. To see Zach Top act with such joy and humility in what could’ve been an uncomfortable situation makes me appreciate him even more than I already did!
