It is with a heavy heart that we have to report the death of 27 year-old actor Anton Yelchin. Yelchin was best known for portraying Pavel Chekov in the rebooted Star Trek and Kyle Reese in Terminator: Salvation. In addition to these films, Yelchin garnered praise for his supporting in the film Alpha Dog as well as earned the Young Artist Award for Best Leading Actor In A Feature Film for his role in the 2002 miniseries Taken.
“Actor Anton Yelchin, known for his roles in “Star Trek” and “Alpha Dog,” was killed early Sunday morning after getting pinned by his own car … TMZ has learned.
Yelchin’s friends became alarmed because he was supposed to meet them hours earlier for a rehearsal. They went to his San Fernando Valley home at around 1 AM and found him pinned between his car and a brick mailbox, which was attached to a security gate.
Law enforcement tells us the engine was running when his body was discovered, and the car was in neutral. The driveway was on a fairly steep incline. It’s unclear why he got out of the car.
Cops do not suspect foul play.”
That’s horrible. Such a waste of life and talent gone too soon. The kid had his entire career ahead of him. It makes you realize the truth behind the fragility of life. Say a prayer for his family and friends tonight, bros, they’re going to need it.
