I love this, there’s just so much hope and optimism in the first texts. Some dudes got done with their first dates and fired off a round of texts (definitely ill-advised texts though), and instead of waiting for responses they just kept going in. This is 100% cringe-worthy, for certain, but it’s still pretty goddamn hilarious. It’s like watching that awkward first-date trainwreck unfolding in front of your eyes only it’s better because Aziz Ansari is one funny mofo.
And I don’t know if Jimmy Fallon’s done this sketch before with any other actors but I have to say that it is very reminiscent of his ‘Slow Jam The News’ bit, and I’m digging it. This is definitely something they need to get into the rotation full time.
