University Students Passing Around Petition To Get Big Sean Banned From Performing At Spring Party

Hopefully Big Sean has a “million trillion things he’d rather fuckin’ do” on May 3rd because a group of Princeton University students is trying to get his performance on campus canceled.

Students Duncan Hosie and Rebecca Basaldua told The Daily Princetonian, the university’s student newspaper, that they researched Big Sean’s lyrics after hearing him repeat a misogynistic phrase in a promotional video for the May 3 spring Lawnparties show.

The students then created the petition, which alleges Big Sean’s songs promote misogyny and “rape culture.” The petition has more than 500 signatures, Hosie told The Princetonian, and asks the school’s Undergraduate Student Government to rescind its offer to the Grammy-nominated rapper.

“I’m sure every singer has a questionable song,” Basaldua told The Princetonian, “but there are a significant amount of his songs that deal with this, and I think there are a lot of other artists in the same genre even that would have been a better choice.”

Big Sean is an odd selection considering Princeton has recently been dealing with issues in their coed eating clubs.

Unfortunately, there’s little the students can do. Student government officials said it’s too late to make any changes to the May 3 show. Which is a nicer way of saying Sean already got his money.

The selection of Big Sean is being praised by some students and the Undergraduate Student Government even forked over an additional $15,000 — on top of the $50,000 budget — to get the popular performer to set foot in Princeton, NJ.

Big Sean’s reps could not be reached for comment because they don’t have to fucking talk to youuuuuu.
