I love the Call of Duty franchise, so the multiplayer trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare got me amped as hell. At the same time, COD has gotten so futuristic and sci-fi-ish that it barely feels like a war game anymore; I read someone make the comparison of “Titanfall meets bits of Halo” and I sorta agree, especially when you compare this trailer to Halo 4.
Call of Duty makes Brinks trucks of cash for Activision, so they’re probably not going to abandon this franchise strategy any time soon. But still, it’d be amazing if they backtracked to make a fast-paced COD game that was World War II-based or something along those lines.
