‘Christmas At Nana’s’ Is An SNL Holiday Skit That Didn’t Make The Show Even Though It’s Funny As Hell

At the end of every SNL season, there should be one primetime show dedicated to the skits that didn’t make air. This skit, Christmas At Nanas, should be one of the first shown because it’s funny and spot-on.

Kyle Mooney and Amy Poehler (she cohosted last week with Tina Fey) are pre-teens in trouble for “ruining Christmas” with their constant arguing. Mom (Kate McKinnon) tosses them in a bedroom to work out their issues but adds a sense of urgency because Nana is going to die at any minute.

Mooney and Poehler mumble-talk their beef and wish crazy things on one another, just like we all did, thinking the other person couldn’t possibly hear the ill wishes. OF COURSE THEY CAN! THEY ALWAYS CAN!

On a related note, so sorry to hear about your nana. (whispers that she was actually a bitch though).
