Watch Darth Maul Kick Ass In This Incredible Fan-Made Star Wars Film

Before Kylo Ren had a fancy three-beamed lightsaber, Darth Maul was out on the streets taking down Jedis with his double-bladed weapon. Darth Maul was one bad-ass villain, up until *SPOILER ALERT* he was killed by Obi-Wan Kenobi. Well Darth Maul is back and ferocious as ever in this awesome fan-made film.

I’d say this fan-made film is better than Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, but there’s a lot of things that fall under that umbrella and saying so isn’t exactly a glowing endorsement. A new fan film titled “Darth Maul: Apprentice” has gone viral and in only two days, the tremendous video has amassed over one million views on YouTube.

The mini movie was created by T7 Production and features some extraordinary effects as well as choreography.

“We worked incredibly hard on this film for almost two years,” the YouTube description states. “We always felt that Darth Maul should have had more screen time. So we wanted to create a film just for him with the best lightsaber fights we could do!”

A team of Jedi Knights had the misfortune of stumbling upon Darth Maul. The red-and-black Sith Lord then masterfully takes care of business by carving up everyone.

There’s even an awesome behind-the-scenes video showing you how the film was created.

It looks like the stars in this YouTube do just as amazing in the lightsaber battles as the professionals.
