Whether you love the IBC or hate the IBC, you can’t deny the fact that it’s ultimate goal – raising money for ALS research – has been a huge coup for enemies of the disease. Fans of the disease are most likely furius. Who would be a fan of ALS? Listen, I don’t have enough time to research that type of info, but I’m guessing the Russians.
One celeb who just took ALS and kneed it in the balls is David Spade. I’ve always loved Spade. Sure, he does a lot of money grab movies like the Grown Ups franchise, but when you hear him on Howard Stern or watch his stand-up, he’s absolutely hilarious. It turns out that he’s not only hilarious, but he’s also quite rich (and generous with that wealth).
In Spade’s Ice Bucket Challenge video below, he forgoes the standard dumping of ice on his head and cuts to the chase, donating a check for $100,000.00 to ALS. Well, to be clear, he’s not donating to the disease, he’s donating to fighting the disease.
Bravo, Spade. Now stop making shitty kid movies and CBS shows and go make Joe Dirt 2.
