Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Opens Up About His Criminal Youth In Hawaii, Also Named ‘Sexiest Man Alive’

It’s been a pretty big week for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. His Disney film Moana premiered in Hollywood, he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, and PEOPLE Magazine just named him the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ for 2016:

The Jimmy Kimmel Live clip rambles on for several minutes before getting to the story about Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson‘s criminal youth in Hawaii, and how he used to swing by a 7-Eleven every day (literally EVERY day) and steal a Snickers bar for energy. While filming in Hawaii, The Rock wanted to make good on his youth and bring his daughter to that 7-Eleven to drop $500 on a Snickers bar to make up for the hundreds that he’d stolen as a teen but when Dwayne and his daughter arrived they found a horrid scene unfolding outside of the store.

Yesterday, there were reports circulating that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson might make a run at the White House in 2020 after Donald Trump’s win, and at the time my immediate reaction was ‘no, please don’t, I don’t want to learn the worst stories of his past’. But if the worst things in Dwayne Johnson‘s life involve stealing Snickers bars because of childhood hunger and the need for energy, then I don’t think I’m worried any longer about his past being unearthed.
