Nerd Boners Everywhere Rage With Fierce Euphoria As Emilia Clarke Of ‘GoT’ Fame Joins Upcoming ‘Star Wars’ Movie

Christmas has come early for nerds everywhere… Emilia Clarke AKA Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones has joined the cast of the upcoming stand-alone Star Wars movie based on a young Han Solo.

The only details that Lucasfilm provided was that Clarke’s role “will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures.”

Maybe the Mother of Dragons will now become the Mother of Great Thrantas?

This isn’t Emilia’s first foray into science fiction, she also played Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys.

The Unburnt Queen of the Andals joins Alden Ehrenreich, who is playing a young Han, and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian.

The new Han Solo movie does not have a title as of yet. The film is scheduled to be released on May 25, 2018 and won’t start production until early next year. It was written by Lawrence Kasdan and his son, Jon Kasdan and will be helmed by directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
