First ‘Daredevil’ Trailer For Netflix Is Dark And Explosive

If you came here looking for Ben Affleck as Daredevil, I must inform you that this is not the Daredevil you are looking for.

Netflix has four Marvel TV shows slated to hit their streaming platform and the first to debut is Daredevil. The first trailer is here and it appears to have fantastic production value and looks very promising. This is not surprising considering how much resources Netflix has poured into creating great original content thanks in part to the success of House of Cards and Orange is the New Black.

Here’s the description of the show:

Meet Matt Murdock. Blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt fights injustice by day as a respected lawyer and by night as the masked vigilante Daredevil in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. He’ll do anything to make his city a better place, but at what price? All episodes of Marvel’s Daredevil arrive on Netflix April 10.

The dark trailer reveals a hero conflicted about his faith and decision to become a vigilante. “I’ve been preoccupied of late with questions of morality, of right and wrong, good and evil,” Murdock declares. “I’m not seeking forgiveness for what I’ve done, Father. I’m asking forgiveness for what I’m about to do. I’m just trying to make my city a better place.”

Actor Charlie Cox (Owen Sleater from Boardwalk Empire) plays Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil AKA the Man Without Fear, the blind attorney who transforms to a fearless crime-fighter at night.

The supporting cast features some well-known actors including Vincent D’Onofrio as supervillain mob boss Kingpin, Rosario Dawson plays Claire Temple, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page and Elden Henson portrays Foggy Nelson.

The entire first season of Daredevil hits Netflix on April 10.
