HBO’s New Show ‘Westworld’ Looks Trippy AF And So Incredibly Badass

The spring Sunday night programing slate for HBO is the Murderers’ Row of television, in my book. Game Of Thrones, Silicon Valley, and Veep all justify keeping the subscription going for an entire year, even when shows like The Leftovers and True Detective (The Vince Vaughn season, not the McCoughney season), make us collectively yawn.

Another reason to keep that subscription in tact, besides Bill Simmons rambling about how great soup is: Westworld, HBO’s new sci-fci psychological western thriller. It’s a reboot of a ’70s show with Jonathan Nolan and J.J. Abrams in the directors chair. Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Tessa Thompson, Ed Harris, and James Marsden all have big roles in what promises to be quite a mind-fuck.
