A Cool Behind-the-Scenes Look at Jamie Lannisters’ Arm from ‘Game of Thrones’

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww, but so, so, so badass. After Jamie Lanister had his hand cut off in Game of Thrones, UK-based prosthetic and creature effects artist Sangeet Prabhaker went to work created an incredible prosthetic for Nikolaj Coster-Waldau to wear. According to the Insta:

Some more work from #gameofthrones season 3 with @creaturesinc, in the eppisode where he’s having a nice warm bath with bryeen. We called this the “t-bone” stump; there was also the “double decker” and the “socky stump” but they weren’t used so much.

Having a stumpy arm never looked so… surreal:

He also has a crazy pic of Michelle Fairley as Catelyn Star after filming “The Red Wedding.” Here’s how it worked, in Prabhaker’s own words:

A lovely and slightly sad Michelle Fairley as Catelyn Stark, just after filming the red wedding. I sculpted, moulded and cast this intrinsically painted piece and applied it with @creaturesinc whome I was freelancing for at the time. There was also a silicone bladder under the piece for fake blood to be pumped through
