Kanye West Threw Another Twitter Tantrum After Respected Producer Takes A Steamy Dump On His Album

Kayne West may be having a mental breakdown. At first it was cute and funny and self-promotional, now its played out and annoying and whiny. I get it, no one wants to read that their work sucks balls. I rarely venture into the comment section of my posts because I’m not built to hear that I should “sit on a dick and twist.” Positive vibes only. It’s the only way to keep some semblance of self-respect.

Kanye’s latest victim is long-time music producer Bob Ezrin. Ezrin is best known for his work with Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, and Phish. Ya, so not really huge with the rap genre, but the dude is 66-years-old so he’s probably got some wisdom about the entire industry and the longevity of albums. In a piece for music critic Bob Letsetz industry newsletter, Ezrin called Kanye’s songwriting and production skills as “sophomoric at best.” He continued…

“But in spite of what the aspirationally-cool media keeps saying about him, unlike other creators in his genre like Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie or even M.C. Hammer for that matter, it’s unlikely that we’ll be quoting too many of Kanye’s songs 20 years from now.

He didn’t open up new avenues of public discourse like N.W.A., or introduce the world to a new art form like Grandmaster Flash, or even meaningfully and memorably address social issues through his music like Marshall, Macklemore and Kendrick.”

Kanye could have a legitimate gripe with Ezrin putting Macklemore in the same category as NWM and Eminem, but in true Kanye fashion, he flies over the handlebars.

Positive vibes only.

The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
