Did ‘Last Man On Earth’ Predict The End Of Civilization Last Night By Killing Off President Pence’s Full Cabinet?

Last night, FOX’s The Last Man On Earth returned from its midseason hiatus with a look back at how the virus began, the virus which ultimately wiped out almost every person on planet earth. Will Forte’s The Last Man On Earth has become one of my favorite comedies on TV over its first three seasons because the jokes are unexpected, often awkward, and the humor is closer to that of Curb Your Enthusiasm than any other show currently on TV.

But last night’s mid-season premiere got dark, and it got dark real fast….If you’re not caught up on this show there are some ***spoilers*** in here so you might want to watch last night’s episode before continuing to read on.

So what was the ‘End of Days’ prediction? Well, last night’s episode starred Kristen Wigg, and it showed how the virus overtook the planet. Early on in the episode, there was a casual mention of ‘President Pence’, which you can see here:

That clip was in the context of Kristen Wigg questioning whether or not there was a vaccine for the disease because the President wasn’t sick or dying yet. After that, as noted over on UPROXX, there was a montage that saw President Pence’s entire cabinet killed off:

At no point did they ever mention President Donald Trump’s name, alluding to a future where President Trump is no longer in office. Keep in mind that this is the name network (FOX) which The Simpsons airs on, a show which has basically predicted every major event of the past two decades.

Sure, this could mean the show actually takes place 8 years from now after President Trump has won re-election and then left The White House only to see Mike Pence win the 2024 Presidential Election. Or they could be insinuating that the very near future is one in which ‘President Trump’ is no longer a reality. I’ll let you bros be the judge of that.
