A 30-second commercial for “Star Wars Battlefront 2” has leaked online and it looks tremendous. The ad features cinematic footage that shows a group of high-ranking TIE fighter pilots on Endor witnessing the Death Star explode. One scene shows a tauntaun truck stick a snowtrooper. The trailer features a female pilot who still remembers her last orders – to “avenge our Emperor!” Later in the trailer, you see some of your favorite Star Wars characters including Darth Maul, Yoda, Rey, and Kylo Ren.
Unfortunately, there is no actual gameplay footage in the advertisement. But the trailer hints at some exciting aspects such as a new single-player campaign that is based on “the untold soldier’s story.”
It will still boast an incredible multiplayer facet but may add a possible new-character campaign that expands to all eras of the Star Wars legacy. You may possibly use the new characters to complete missions within the game’s multiplayer battlegrounds.
At the end of the video, it says that if you pre-order the game you will receive “heroes” from “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
The ad promotes the PlayStation 4 and said it used the Frostbite engine. No release date was given for the game, but it is expected in Q4 2017.
The Star Wars Celebration is happening this weekend in Orlando, Florida, so expect more news about the game and maybe even a trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
