Robert De Niro was Martin Scorsese’s go-to lead actor back in the day for iconic movies including Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, and Casino. Then starting in the 2000’s, Scorsese fancied Leonardo DiCaprio for the lead in his films such as Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Shutter Island, The Departed and The Wolf of Wall Street. The only time the two actors have worked together is in the movie This Boy’s Life back in 1993 when DiCaprio was only 21-years-old. However what happens when the two acting titans go for the same role on a Scorsese production?
These trailers appear to be for a new Scorsese film titled “The Audition,” where De Niro and DiCaprio are vying for the same lead role in a movie. However they are actually clever ads disguised as a movie trailer. The fake movie is a commercial for the City of Dreams casino in Manila, Philippines and Studio City hotel in Macau, Hong Kong. DeLook out for the Brad Pitt cameo. I so wish this was a real movie.
