Maisie Williams Says This Long-Lost Character Is Returning To ‘Game Of Thrones’ This Season, And It Won’t Be Pretty

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

During an interview with BBC Radio 1, a caller asked Maisie Williams if Rickon Stark, the youngest of the Stark family, would be returning for season six. Her response, while at first a not very definitive “Yes…maybe,” quickly subsided to “Yes, we will indeed…Oh no, I’m literally going to get off the air and someone’s going to email me!”

So we know that Rickon is returning, but in what way? Well there’s already a theory going around that he’s going to be the final straw that ignites “Snowbowl,” aka “The Battle of the Bastards.” The last time we saw Rickon was at the end of season three, where Bran sends him off with Osha to seek refuge with the Umbers, one of the northern families pledged to the Starks.

Except…

In the season six episode three preview, we see the Umber flags on their way to visit Winterfell…

But then…

In other words: ohhhhh SHIT it’s abouta get LIT in here! Winter is coming but you know what’ll be here first? Jon Snow, whippin’ Ramsay Bolton’s ass STRAIGHT outta Winterfell and straight into hell. And hopefully, HOPEFULLY, Rickon makes it through this season. If we’re going to kill a Stark it should be Sansa, since she’s been doing a crapload of nothing lately – or ideally, none of them.

Let’s cross our fingers for “none of them.”
