Matt Damon is back as Jason Bourne and is up to his old tricks of crashing through windows, sniping bad guys, defying death in crazy chase scenes, jumping off of buildings, cracking skulls and trying to uncover secrets in the first full-length trailer for Jason Bourne.
This is the fifth installment of the Bourne franchise, which started in 2002 with The Bourne Identity. Since then, Jason Bourne AKA David Webb has been seeking out clandestine conspiracies within the Central Intelligence Agency in the action spy thriller series. Bourne, the super assassin, is drawn out of the shadows once again and finds himself in peril, this time in Greece and Las Vegas.
It appears that Bourne is still dealing with his memories from the CIA’s secret Treadstone program that he was involved in. Now a Edward Snowden-like data breach of the U.S. Government’s databases is leaking information of the clandestine program.
Joining Damon, the cast features Julia Stiles reprising her role as Nicky Parsons, plus newcomers Vincent Cassel, Tommy Lee Jones and Alicia Vikander, the scalding hot robot from Ex Machina. The film is written and directed by Paul Greengrass, who directed The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum.
This wild ride arrives in theaters on July 29, 2016.
