One Of The Most Popular Films Of 2014 Also Had TWICE As Many Mistakes In It Than Any Other

Every year the film site MovieMistakes.com compiles a running list of all the factual errors, continuity mistakes and just general screw-ups for all the major movies.

This year’s number one film to really mess things up also happened to be one of the most popular films and as it turns out a movie that also received rather favorable reviews across the board: Captain America: Winter Soldier.

Not only did Cap and his crew take the top spot, they took it by a Secretariat-like margin with a whopping 55 errors. To put that in perspective, that’s one error for every 2.47 minutes of running time. To put it in even more perspective, second on the list was Divergent with just 26 errors and if you drop down to 10th and look at the films Edge of Tomorrow, Jersey Boys and Godzilla, they were tied with just 9 errors.

Also by comparison using just Marvel movies, Guardians of the Galaxy was credited with just 5 errors, while X-Men: Days of Future Past only failed 3 times.

And yet, I still love it, don’t you?

The complete top 10 looks like this…

1. Captain America: Winter Soldier – 55
2. Divergent – 26
3. Transformers: Age of Extinction – 25
4. The Fault in Our Stars – 16
