Finally! Pokémon Go Is Officially Fun Again With 100 New Pokémon To Catch In The Wild

Finally, it’s the moment Pokémon Go players have all been waiting for, Niantic has just introduced a slew of new pocket monsters to be caught in the wild. This is an addition to the game which has been rumored for months now, going back several updates when people found the expansion of the Pokedex somewhere within the game’s code, but at long last Niantic has rolled out a bunch of new pokémon today with more coming in the very near future.

Here’s the big announcement from Niantic:

“Professor Willow has discovered Togepi and Pichu hatching from Eggs! Starting later today, Trainers will have the opportunity to hatch these and several other Pokémon that were originally discovered in the Johto Region in Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games. These are the first of more Pokémon coming to Pokémon GO over the next few months. Be sure to use the hashtag #PokemonGO on Twitter to share your experiences as you explore your local neighborhoods with family and friends, walk to hatch these Pokémon from Eggs, and register them to your collection this holiday season. We can’t wait to see what Pokémon you’ve hatched!”

It all begins today. The ‘Generation Two’ pokémon can be caught starting right now. There’s also going to be a special ‘holiday edition’ of Pikachu rolled out today where the little dude will be wearing a festive hat, and you can catch him between now and December 29th, if you’re into catching rarities like that. Here’s what that limited edition holiday Pikachu will look like on Pokémon Go:
