It sounds like the next Quentin Tarantino movie is now on the horizon and it sounds like it will be about the Manson Family murders (Sorry “Kill Bill 3” fans). The upcoming untitled project is said to have been written by Tarantino and he will also direct. The legendary director has already met with some impressive A-list actors for the promising movie that centers around Sharon Tate, the actress and wife of director Roman Polanski who was murdered when she was eight months pregnant by Charles Manson’s followers on August 8, 1969.

There are reports that Tarantino has already met with Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence for the movie. Tarantino allegedly hopes that Margot Robbie to play Sharon Tate, who was killed after Charles Manson ordered his followers to attack anyone living in a house in Los Angeles, which was believed to be owned by a record producer who earlier had rejected the infamous cult leader. Deadline reported that Tarantino favorite Samuel L. Jackson will “likely also will play a lead in the film.”

Harvey and Bob Weinstein, who have produced and executive produced the previous Tarantino films, are said to be involved in the new flick. The movie is reported to begin shooting sometime next year and aiming for a 2019 release. This comes four years after Tarantino’s last project, “The Hateful Eight.”

On January 25, 1971, Manson and certain members of his crew were sentenced to life in prison for the Tate execution as well as other murders committed that summer.
