‘Yeah, I’m Thinking I’m Back’ – The Release Date For ‘John Wick 2’ Has Finally Been Revealed!

John Wick 2 began filming in fall, and while all we’ve had to keep us occupied until its premiere has been this hour-long documentary about the making of the first movie, we now have a release date for the sequel. According to Exhibitor Relations, John Wick 2 is set to be released next February:

Apparently the current title for John Wick 2 is ACTUALLY John Wick: Chapter Two, which sounds much more mysterious and intriguing as opposed to slappin’ a “2” at the end of the original title and going to town with it. According to A.V. Club the sequel is currently being filmed in Rome, and “Bridget Moynahan, who played John’s dead wife who set him up with the puppy that was also cruelly snatched away from him, is also returning.” Nothing is known of the plot for the sequel yet, with IMDB only listing it as “The continuing adventures of former hitman, John Wick,” meaning it’s a solid possibility that this could be an origin story of how John became a hitman in the first place, met his wife, etc.

Or, equally possible, it could be the story of how John Wick ate pizza in Italy and had flashbacks about his wife while he raw dogged strippers in the Vatican. Hypothesizing on movie plots is stupid, in other words, which means we’ll just have to patiently wait for February 10th, 2017 to find out what happens.
