This Season 5 ‘Game of Thrones’ Clip Shows That This Character’s Storyline Is Now COMPLETELY Different From The Books

Have you read the Game of Thrones books? Because you should. Not only are they 100,000x better than the show, but judging from this clip season 5 of Game of Thrones is about to make a major change when it comes to Jaime Lannister’s storyline. Don’t believe me? Check out this clip from the GoT set (and be warned, it’s technically a spoiler but not a huge one):

Are you feeling gypped that the clip was just behind-the-scenes footage and not an actual clip from an upcoming episode? Well you shouldn’t, because if you’d been paying attention to what the characters were wearing and who was actually present in the scene, you would’ve noticed that…

SPOILERS AHEAD:

Jaime Lannister is in Dorne. Y’know, where Oberyn Martell, our favorite spear-fighter with an exploded head is from. If you’ve read the books, you already know that Jaime never goes to Dorne and instead Balon Swann, a generally irrelevant knight that hasn’t been included in the show, travels there to bring Myrcella back to King’s Landing. It makes more sense to have Jaime in Dorne from the show’s perspective since the tension between the Lannisters and the Martells is almost tangible and hey, the show is all about conflict, yeah? But there’s another reason why the show’s writers may have sent him to Dorne…

The other reason to be glad Jaime is in Dorne is the juicy rumor that he will cross swords with Keisha Castle-Hughes’s badass Dornish lady warrior, Obara Sand. (Oberyn’s Daughter.)

If Oberyn’s daughters are anything like him, we’re sure to see Jaime getting his ass handed to him…a lot.
