Actress Sophie Monk’s career has never quite ‘taken off’, but she’s still landed some major roles. She was in Click with Adam Sandler back in 2006, Date Movie, and she appeared on an episode of Entourage in 2007. I’d be lying if I said I’ve followed Sophie Monk‘s career up until today because I just looked up her recent career on IMDB and it appears to have hit a standstill.
This clip above is A+ though and just made me a sizable Sophie Monk fan. She appeared on The Weekly With Charlie Pickering and was interviewed by comedian Tom Gleeson. From what I’ve gathered, The Weekly is more or less the Australian version of John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight meets The Daily Show.
Sophie Monk appeared on the show to be interviewed and comedian Tom Gleeson thought he was sitting down for an interview in which he’d be roasting her. Which, to be fair, he did a good amount of roasting. Sophie was quick with her responses, clever, and she threw it all back in Tom’s face to the point that he was laughing mid-segment after losing his composure.
