Remember two days ago when Broken Lizard set up a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to raise money to make Super Troopers 2? Well because of your loyal support and hard-earned money, they crushed their goal and did so in only one day. They had 32 days to raise $2 million and at time of print they already have nearly $2.5 million.
And now I’m getting all antsy in my pantsy.
On their Indiegogo page they reacted to the tremendous outpouring of support:

Holy shitballs!! In just over 24 hours we hit the first milestone.
If we could cry, we’d be crying. Thank you so much. Sincerely. We can make the skinny version of Super Troopers 2 but I think we all want the muscular version so let’s keep going.
With the resounding show of support by their devoted fans, 20th Century Fox has agreed to distribute the film. They hope to shoot this summer and release the highly-anticipated movie in early 2016.
They promise to sing for their supper and add entertaining content on the Indiegogo page every day for the entire 32-day campaign to help raise even more money to invest in the film.
If you didn’t contribute and claim your prize, don’t fret because they want more money and you still have 30 days to donate. However most of the super cool donation perks have already been claimed.

Going to a Los Angeles Angeles with the guys for Broken Lizard for $15,000 – SOLD OUT!
Being a director on the film for $12,500 – SOLD OUT!
Being an actor in Super Troopers 2 for $10,000 – SOLD OUT!
Being a producer for $10,000 – SOLD OUT!
But you can still have Thorny and the boys as your groomsmen or bridesmaids at your wedding for $25,000. How great would a round of the “cat game” be during your nuptials.
The bros from Broken Lizard are in full promotional mode and did a AMA on Reddit on Wednesday.
So what are they going to do with millions of dollars, and you can’t say buy the Cleveland Cavaliers. Who knows, but I for one am hoping for more powdered sugar and Kate Upton in the movie.
