If you haven’t seen The Foot Fist Way, it’s highly recommended viewing for all Danny McBride fans. In it, the man who eventually became Kenny Powers plays “an inept karate instructor who struggles with marital troubles and an unhealthy obsession with fellow karate enthusiast Chuck ‘The Truck’ Wallace.” On April 19th, Paramount uploaded the full-length film to YouTube and isn’t charging a single cent to watch it. How are you going to turn down a free movie? Especially one with so many awesome one-liners?
Fred Simmons: If you were in prison, you’d be raped because you exude feminine qualities. You’re also a big ole fat piece of ass.
Fred Simmons: Dentistry? I can’t even believe that’s something that’s real.
Fred Simmons: Meditation is terrific and all, but I’ve never heard of it saving anyone from a gang rape type situation. Meditate on that. Rape.

I don’t care if you wake up in a ditch with grown men shitting on you and jumping on top of your head. Maybe your nose will turn into a big ole dick and you can stroke that all the time. I hope your hair turns into dog shit one day. You wake up and you run your comb through it and all that it is, is little trundles of dog shit. The worst shit that you could imagine. AIDS… it’s cool. Everything comes around sweetheart.
This was Danny’s second role ever, his first was as a character named “Bust-Ass” in All the Real Girls. McBride also wrote the script for Foot Fist Way, which was released in 2006. According to IMDb, the title is a literal English translation of Tae Kwon Do.
Anyone who’s seen Eastbound and Down knows that Danny McBride can’t throw worth a damn, so it’s funny that his breakout role came as a Tae Kwon Do expert when he probably can’t touch his toes.
Ever since EaD ended, McBride’s taken a hiatus from the spotlight, but he’ll be voicing characters in the animated features Sausage Party and Angry Birds. He’s also got that new HBO show Vice Principals coming out this summer in addition to filming Alien: Covenant and a rumored role in Knight Rider. It sucks Your Highness didn’t do as well as we’d hoped, because I foresaw (?) McBride doing an annual 4/20 release from now to Kingdom Cannabis.
