‘SNL 40’ Tribute To Tracy Morgan Will Make You Miss The Brilliant Comic Even More

Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are both incredibly funny people. Baldwin is a brilliant actor who can do both comedy and drama. Fey was the head writer on SNL, wrote 30 Rock and Mean Girls, and is one of the most prolific comedic voices of her generation. Neither of them have the raw comic genius of Tracy Morgan. This was evident during SNL’s tribute to the former cast member last night on SNL 40.

Tracy Morgan hasn’t been in the spotlight much in the last few months. He’s still recovering from a horrific car crash from last June. At SNL 40, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, both former cast members with Morgan on 30 Rock, took the stage in studio 8h to say a few nice words about their friend and colleague.

Both comedians tried, and failed, to capture Morgan in imitation. Both kinda failed. Alright, that’s harsh, but it’s almost impossible to replicate the insanity that’s a Tracy Morgan bit. He’s the only man who can tell an entire audience he wants to get them pregnant and come off sounding endearing.

Here’s Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin paying tribute to Tracy Morgan on SNL 40. It will only make you miss the guy even more.
