I don’t know what it is about Gal Gadot, but she just makes me smile. The 32-year-old former Miss Israel just has some sort of magical infectious quality about her that brings joy to people. The folks over at DC Comics and Warner Bros. truly hit the freaking jackpot when they signed her to play Wonder Woman. I’m honestly just amazed that it took her this long to get the kind of featured role that I wish we could have been seeing her performing for so many years prior.

Gadot, and her portrayal of Wonder Woman so far, has easily been the best thing about the DC Cinematic Universe, both in Batman V. Superman as well as in her own stand-alone movie. (Sorry, Margot Robbie, you are a very close second.)

Just look at the way Gadot carries herself, interacts with both her co-stars as well as fans, and you can easily see, even just in photos, why people adore her.

One absolutely perfect example of just how much Gadot connects with her audience, young and old alike, is an interaction she had with a young girl dressed like Wonder Woman at Comic-Con on Sunday. The little girl was so overwhelmed by meeting the real, live Wonder Woman that the poor thing burst into tears.

Gadot’s reaction was so wonderful as she comforted the little cosplayer and told her, “Now we are friends so there is no need to cry anymore, right? We are together.”

Then, just to top it off, Ezra Miller who plays The Flash, reportedly told the girl she can “come join the Justice League whenever you’re ready.”

A woman who says she is the little girl’s mother later tweeted about the meeting between the two “Wonder Women.”

Can whoever is cutting onions in here please knock it off. Thanks.
