Have you ever gotten so drunk that you shaved your head into a mohawk? I haven’t, but most of the Zac Brown Band has including Zac Brown himself.
Jack Donaghy of NBC’s 30 Rock once famously said “I get my hair cut every two days. After all, your hair is your head suit.” I wouldn’t say that I’m nearly as serious about my hair as Jack Donaghy because I only get it cut every month or so, but the idea of getting so hammered I shave my head into a mohawk is insane. And this is coming from a dude who once got so drunk and ended up as a passenger in a high-speed car chase with police in a Central American country.
One of Jimmy Fallon’s recurring bits that’s actually enjoyable (unlike those stupid ass ‘Ew’ sketches) is ‘Tales From Tour’. In these bits, Jimmy has his guest/musical guest telling stories from their lives on the road and you get a candid look into what life is like for world famous musicians. Given that Zac Brown is always wearing either a hat or a beanie we’d have never known this story if they didn’t tell it on Fallon.
By the way, if you’ve never seen the Zac Brown Band live you should hop on that ASAP. I caught them in NYC two years ago when the Super Bowl was in the city, and Zac Brown Band opened for the Foo Fighters. It was definitely one of the better concert nights of my life and I highly recommend it to everyone.
