Of Course John Mayer And Members Of The Grateful Dead Crashed A Bunch Of Weed Dispensaries In Colorado

John Mayer is a certified Bro — He’s dated Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Minka Kelly, Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry. He has a rare watch collection that could be worth AT LEAST seven figures. He throws charity concerts for local firefighters near his home in Bozeman, Montana. And he absolutely SHREDS at guitar, most currently as the lead guitarist in Dead and Company, an incarnation of the Grateful Dead with three of the band’s founding five.

Dead and Company is currently touring the U.S., with shows in Vegas this weekend and Los Angeles over New Years. I got a chance to see them at Madison Square Garden on Halloween weekend and it blew me away. As a disciple and student of psychedelic American blues rock, Mayer nails the “Jerry” role in the band with Bobby Weir, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann. His raw talent is preternatural.

Music aside, Dead & Company has arrived in Colorado, the heady capital of the United States. Tomorrow night they place at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, which means that there is plenty of time for the band to hit up Colorado’s thriving, legal marijuana dispensary scene. It’s been a long, strange trip to get weed legal, so the boys had some fun outside the Mile High City.

Let it grow, eh John?
