Throw a dartboard at a map of the United States these days and it’s probably to land within a day’s drive of a major music festival. Music festivals are EVERYWHERE these days, but few stand-out as destinations worth hitting up for a weekend of raging to your favorite tunes. The exception however, is Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. For starters, it’s the only big, major festival on a beach, which means you get to soak up the sun, saltwater, and beautiful salty Gulf air while chillaxing by the main stage. Second, the line-up is something worth actually getting excited about. The Foo Fighters, Zac Brown Bandm Beck, Skrillex, My Morning Jacket, Foster the People, Paramore, Spoon, Umphrey’s McGee, TV on the Radio… This is a music festival for funky people who actually like music, not scensters looking to see and be seen while Instagramming selfies about how cute their headdresses are.
Hangout Fest is May 15, 16, and 17 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Buy your tickets and read more about it a HangoutMusicFeset.com.
