Pretty much the only excuse that would be acceptable for not knowing anything about who the Los Angeles-based producer Ookay is if you’d been involved in a horrendous and life-threatening accident,
rendering you borderline brain dead and deaf. Which is fine — well, not exactly, but if you’re in
that boat we’ll give you a pass. If not, well then it’s time to get well acquainted with Tim Gunter &
your new favorite EDM DJ, Ookay.
“You’re yanking my chain, that’s a bold statement” is probably what you’re thinking. Well don’t worry, Ookay’s got the resume to back it up. Best known for teaming with the likes of Showtek as well as the unbelievable Steve Aoki to give us tracks like 2014’s crowd-moving “Bouncer,” it’s safe to say Ookay’s
rapidly gaining notoriety in the EDM world among both DJ’s and festival-goers alike.
For christ’s sake, the guy is signed with Dim Mak. That’s basically like planting your butt riiiiiight atop the Holy Grail of EDM, so when we heard that he was down to do a Melt Mix with us and Tim Gunter,
clearly we were pumped.
Excited?
Of course you are.
For what reason wouldn’t you be?
