Test Results Reveal Cause Of Scott Weiland’s Death And It Wasn’t Just From Drugs

Two weeks after being found in the back of a tour bus in Minnesota, test results for former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland reveal it wasn’t just drugs that lead to his death.

TMZ is reporting that according to tests conducted by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Weiland died of an accidental overdose of a cocktail of drugs that included cocaine, MDA, and booze. The cocktail, along with severe Asthma and heart disease brought on by years of drug abuse, were likely the cause of death.

Weiland was just 48 years old and will go down as one of the most dynamic singers in rock history. His history of drug and alcohol addiction is no secret but fans hoped that a recent resurgence proved Weiland had turned the corner and beaten his demons.
