Sturgill Simpson Celebrated His Grammy Win In The Most California Way Imaginable

The year 2016 was the year train conductor-turned-Americana-singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson led a quiet renaissance in country music. Last night he was knighted by the music industry establishment for spearheading a grassroots Americana revolution in Nashville. To the delight of hardcore music fans everywhere (especially those sick of schmaltzy lamestream Nash-pop), Simpson took home the Grammy for Best Country Album for A Sailor’s Guide to Earth.

As a partial tribute to the late, great R&B singer Sharon Jones, Sturgill recruited the legendary Dap-Kings horn section for his emotional Grammy performance of “All Around You”. To toast his big night in Los Angeles, he celebrated in the most California way imaginable: By devouring a burger after a trip to In-N-Out.

Hopefully he went Double-Double Animal-style. There’s not a better cheeseburger in the world than a Double-Double Animal-style.
