The Spider Interactive Putter From TaylorMade Golf
Guys, I’ve been hearing amazing things about the Spider putter line from TaylorMade Golf since it was first released but yesterday I had the opportunity to get hands-on with the Spider Interactive Putter here in NYC and now I’m hooked. This is the most advanced technology I’ve ever seen in a golf club before. There is a sensor that plugs into the top of the shaft that tracks everything from your forward and backward tempo, the angle of the putter face at impact, if you’re twisting the putter, etc. It syncs with a smartphone/iPad app and gives you feedback in real-time. If there’s something wrong with your putting stroke you can diagnose it on the spot and fix it.
The other incredible thing about this putter is how it turns putting into a game. You can dial in your putts and tempo until you’re hitting perfect putts every single time. Spending hours on the putting green is one of the most boring aspects of golf practice but this legitimately makes it interesting because you have instant feedback on how to putt perfectly. Like I said, I’m hooked.
