First Omega Wrist-Chronograph Limited Edition

things we want

omega watchs

How much is too much to spend on a wristwatch? If you said anything above $121,000 (CHF 120,000) then this might be the perfect watch for you. The only problem is Omega only released 18 of these worldwide so getting your hands on one might be nearly impossible.

For this ambitious 47.50 mm timepiece, an original 18’’’ CHRO calibre was retrieved from the vaults at the OMEGA museum. Dating from 1913, it is the exact same movement used in OMEGA’s first ever wrist-chronographs.
Through a special and dedicated process, the prized calibre was delicately refurbished by the experts at OMEGA’s Atelier de Tourbillon and given a new lease of life, subsequently being named as the new OMEGA calibre 3018.

Omega is EXTREMELY proud of this limited release and for good reason. It’s super rare, wildly expensive, and is an immediate historical artifact in the watch world. For information on this $120,000+ watch you can follow the link below.

Russell’s Reserve 2002 — New Contender For ‘Unicorn’ Status

https://www.instagram.com/p/BkfEPl6ABkg/

The Russell’s Reserve 2002 is going to take the bourbon world by storm (if people can find it). Only 25 barrels were chosen to make this exquisite bourbon, a follow up to the Russell’s Reserve 1998. It’s going to be an ultra-rare, non-chill filtered bourbon served at 114.6 barrel proof strength. Each of the 25 barrels chosen for this spirit was aged for 15 years until they reached peak maturity and now the bourbon world has something truly special.

Full disclosure, I was mailed a 4oz sample bottle of this last week to taste and it was absolutely incredible. The full bottle will have a suggested retail price of $249.99, way above my normal price bracket of what I’ll spend on bourbon but if I had the disposable income I’d 100% be purchasing this spirt because it’s that good. It carries tasting notes of banana, coconut, and malty cream. For more information on this extremely rare release, you can follow the link below.

I came across these awesome patterned board shorts earlier in the week and I’ve been thinking about them ever since. They feature iconic images of James Bond 007 throughout the years. It’s a stylish look for the beaches from Orange County to Miami Beach, and the South of France to Croatia. They’re not cheap, that’s really my only problem with these. At $395 I can’t really bring myself to purchase a pair but man, they are awesome. You can shop all the patterns and designs by following the link below!

Vintage 2004 Glenrothes Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

things we want

Cass Anderson

I recently had the chance to taste the 2004 Glenrothes Speyside and I must say that it’s absolutely magnificent. This vintage was limited to only 3,150 bottles (highly collectible) so it’s definitely a special treat from the moment it leaves the distillery until it leaves the glass into your belly. It retails for around ~$65, so you won’t be breaking the bank with this exquisite Speyside single malt. I’ve been drinking more Speyside in 2018 than any other year of my life and I have to say that this is one of the best expressions I can think of.

What gives the 2004 Glenrothes its name and distinct flavor are the American oak Sherry-seasoned casks that this single malt was matured in for 13 years before being bottled in 2017. Tasting notes include a nose of sweet honey and brandied cherries (my favorite), as well as butterscotch, oak, spice, and vanilla bean. It has a very smooth feel on the tongue and goes down deliciously. You can peruse all of The Glenrothes single malts by following the link below (and I highly suggest you do).
