I’m extremely stoked to introduce you bros to ‘The Dark’ today, a 17-year-old single malt whisky from Highland Park that will change your life. There are only 28,000 bottles of this exquisite elixir available worldwide (each bottle sells for ~$300). The Dark carries extremely rich flavors of dried fruit, toasted almonds, cedar wood, cinnamon, and a little bit of smoke.
Highland Park whisky is distilled on the island of Orkney which for thousands of years has been shaped by ravaging seas, untamable climate, and Vikings who settled the island over 1,000 years ago. The Dark pays homage to the long, dark nights on Orkney where friends and family have gotten together for centuries to share laughs and whisky by the fireside. This amazing 17-year-old single malt is sold in an absolutely stunning bottle + display case that reflects the ancient carvings of Orkney’s Viking ancestors (bottle shown above).
The Dark will be proceeded by The Light from Highland Park which is expected to come later this year in Summer 2018. So if you’re serious about your single malt whisky then keep your eyes peeled for that one as well.
