The 2018 Hennessey Dodge Demon Boasts Neck-Snapping 1,500 Horsepower And A Parachute

Last year, we showed you the sheer pavement-shredding force of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. This fire-breathing beast is the most powerful muscle car ever made, the world’s most powerful factory production V-8, quickest production car in the world, and the world’s quickest quarter-mile production car. This rocket on wheels boasts a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® V-8 that explodes with 840-horsepower and 770 pounds-feet of torque. Guess what? Hennessey Performance Engineering somehow made this speed demon even more powerful.

Hennessey Performance Engineering took a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and nearly doubled the amount of horsepower, which was already mind-blowing. The Demon that melts the streets already set the Guinness World Record for longest wheelie from a standing start by a production car at 2.92-feet. Now HPE can transform the already blistering fast Demon and make it even more powerful — with horsepower as much as 1,500.

HPE will enhance a 2018 Dodge Demon Hellcat Challenger into a bona fide racecar. Upgrades include NHRA legal roll cage, a parachute, headers, engine tuning, and upgraded supercharger systems from 1000 to 1500 horsepower. Why you would need to improve on a magnificent muscle car that already races through the quarter-mile in an eye-blinking 9.65 seconds at 140 mph is beyond me, but it is available. Having a parachute is pretty badass though. Check out HPE putting the 2018 Hennessey Dodge Demon through dragstrip, dyno, and top-speed tests.
